I have played 'hhh' by itself a few times for folks. It was one of most fun sections to put together and also the last one we did. After going through the whole film it was clear it needed its own section.

It's fine to have gods be around in your story if the conflict taking place in it is just not worth their attention, for the most part. Once it becomes a threat to the entire world, the fact that they're sitting on their butts not using that unfathomable power to fix it themselves starts to get a bit frustrating!
